Inflection Raises $30 Million To Take On The Public Records Industry

Inflection , a company aimed to democratizing the public records system on the web, has raised $30 million in Series A financing led by Matrix Partners and Sutter Hill Ventures . Founded in 2006, Inflection aggregates public records and data from past and present and currently operates Archives.com , a site that sources historical records prefabricated acquirable on the web

Autodesk’s AutoCAD for Mac, iOS breaks loose

Autodesk this day announced the Mac release of their professional engineering and design software, AutoCAD. The initial betas of the Mac version hit in late Might and up until then the software was a Windows-exclusive. On top of a Mac version, Autodesk is doing the whole 360 by releasing an iOS version to go along with it

iTunes song/video previews may or may not double in length

According to CNET’s Greg Sandoval, iTunes previews might double in length as of Wednesday’s iTunes announcement.  Apple wants to improve the iTunes experience and the 30 seconds of music in the preview aren’t enough according to some.
