T-Mobile Samsung Behold II finally receives Android 1.6

Samsung Behold II owners might be upset their phone will likely not receive Android 2.x, but at least they can take joy in the new Android 1.6 update from T-Mobile. The carrier began rolling out the latest update over-the-air last night and it is expected to continue through June 25th.

Samsung ‘Galaxy S’ Android devices headed to more carriers?

PCMag is reporting this day that Samsung has sent out a press invite to “join Samsung Mobile as we unveil a new class of brilliant Android smartphones” on June 29th. The invite has a Galaxy S logo on it, which the company introduced in March.

Samsung Corby smartphone bringing Android to the masses

Samsung has just unveiled the new Samsung Corby Smartphone (i5500), running Android 2.1.  The Corby Smartphone features Android 2.1, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, 600MHz CPU, a 2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, AGPS, 1200 mAh battery and a microSD card slot.  It’s obvious that Samsung isn’t targeting power users with the Corby i5500 and we don’t blame them.
